Six-year-old American Bulldog, Dudley, arrived at our doorstep in shocking condition. He was severely underweight with his ribs showing through his skin, which was covered in painful sores.

Poor Dudley had likely spent most of his life suffering unbearable hunger. Not even his most basic needs were being met—and he was barely surviving.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, we were ready to help Dudley right away with extensive care. Dudley needed everything from urgent medical attention and nutritious food for his starving belly, to gentle behaviour support to help with his anxiety, and loving foster care. We were willing to do whatever it took to help Dudley, right up until we finally found him his very own forever home.

Sadly, there are hundreds more animals like Dudley turning up in our shelters without anywhere else to turn during the coldest months of the year. The Lost Dogs’ Home does not receive any ongoing government funding, so we rely on the generosity of kind supporters to care for the most vulnerable animals this winter.
