Your gift today can turn fear, pain, and uncertainty into a happy future for more animals like Sunflower and Audrey.
When Sunflower arrived at our shelter, she was visibly terrified — trembling with fear and huddling close to her puppy, Audrey. And to make things even more frightening for her, Sunflower couldn’t see what was going on. That’s because she had a condition that has caused her to live every day in blindness.
Sunflower and Audrey were found wandering the streets alone, fending for themselves and in desperate need of major medical care. Too often, animals come to us having suffered a life of unimaginable terror, pain, and heartbreak. With the support of generous people like you, we can give these animals the warm welcome and special urgent care they need to feel safe and loved.
It took our entire team to help Sunflower and Audrey — from life-saving vet care and surgeries, to nurturing behaviour support, to loving foster care — so they could have their best chance at finding a forever home. Both dogs have now found a new family to dote on them and give them the bright future they deserve.
But there are more animals like Sunflower and Audrey turning up on our doorstep every day needing urgent, specialised care. The Lost Dogs’ Home does not receive any ongoing government funding, so we rely heavily on the generosity of supporters to care for the most vulnerable animals. You can help these animals, who have had a rough start to life, bloom into the joyful, beaming pets they truly are.
Please give today to keep our doors open for more animals like Sunflower and Audrey.
